Assistance with online reporting procedures for school cafeterias

For the second ^year in a row, the Park is assisting local authorities with their online declaration procedures related to school cafeterias. Three information sessions are planned in Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière, Champsac, and Nexon.

Reminder of regulatory expectations

The Park supports local authorities in their transition to sustainable food systems. School cafeteria managers must comply with several regulations (the EGalim Law and the Climate and Resilience Law) which aim to support producers' income , improve production conditions, and promote healthy and sustainable food . These regulations notably require institutional cafeterias to source at least 50% of their food from products with official quality labels, including 20% ​​from organic farming . They must also implement measures to combat food waste and diversify protein sources.

Supporting communities in their efforts

Every year, the French government launches a mandatory online reporting campaign for all managers of institutional food services, addressing various regulatory requirements. The EGalim 2026 online reporting campaign is officially open for 2025 purchase data until the end of March. The Regional Natural Park is offering three information sessions to assist local authorities with this process, in partnership with AgroBio Périgord and the Pays de Nexon Monts de Chalus inter-municipal authority. Beyond simplifying the administrative process, these sessions provide an opportunity to review the objectives of the EGalim law regarding institutional food services, as well as the available support and assistance.

The three 2026 office hours will be held:

• In Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière, on Thursday, February 26th
• In Champsac, on Tuesday, March 17th
• In Nexon, on Thursday, March 26
