Agriculture: the MAEC 2026 campaign is open

Updated January 28, 2026

Agro-environmental and climatic measures can be contractualized in certain territories by farmers.
As part of its agro-environmental project, the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park is deploying a range of measures on its territory.

In view of the transition between the 2023-2027 CAP and the future CAP, a decision was made at the national level regarding reduce the commitment period for agri-environmental and climate measures (AECMs) from 5 to 3 years in 2026 : the commitments newly subscribed in 2026 will therefore end at the end of the 2028 campaign.

Several MAECs, which cannot be adapted to a shorter duration or are under-subscribed, will be closed from 2026 onwards. For those managed by the Park, these are the MAECs:

  • woody plant maintenance IAE1;
  • pond maintenance IAE2;
  • CPRA meadow creation.

Furthermore, the requirement to undergo training in the first 2 years of employment will be removed.

The available measures and eligibility territories are presented to you in the attached slideshow.
To initiate a process, please send an intention sheet to the Park.
