Assistance with online declaration procedures for canteens
As part of its missions in favor of sustainable food, the Park is currently supporting communities in their electronic declaration procedures related to school restaurants. After an initial permanence in Miallet, a second is planned for March 21 in Champagnac-la-Rivière.
Reminder of regulatory expectations
The Park supports local authorities in their transition to sustainable food systems. School cafeteria managers must comply with several regulations (the EGalim Law and the Climate and Resilience Law) which aim to support producers' income , improve production conditions, and promote healthy and sustainable food . These regulations notably require institutional cafeterias to source at least 50% of their food from products with official quality labels, including 20% from organic farming . They must also implement measures to combat food waste and diversify protein sources.
Supporting communities in their efforts
Every year, the French government launches a mandatory online reporting campaign for all managers of institutional food services, addressing various regulatory requirements. The EGalim 2025 online reporting campaign is officially open for 2024 purchase data until the end of March. The Regional Natural Park of Périgord (formerly the Regional Natural Park of Périgord) is offering two information sessions for local authorities to assist them with this process. The first took place on February 11th in Miallet. During this afternoon session, facilitated by AgroBio Périgord , the Park reviewed the legal requirements for institutional food services and then helped the participating municipalities complete their online reporting. Participants left relieved of this task and equipped to effectively prepare for the 2026 campaign.
The next session will take place on March 21st in Champagnac-la-Rivière. Information and booking: +33 5 53 55 36 00 / c.robert@pnrpl.com
