From Bussière-Galant to Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière, the Dronne river marks the ancient uses of men: the large number of mills, forges and tanneries illustrates the industrial past of this river and its tributaries, whose places of production have generated developments (thresholds, dikes, reservoirs, dams) some of which are still visible.
One wheel in the Massif Central and the handlebars in the Aquitaine Basin, you will be surrounded by chestnut thickets all along the route, you will pass in front of ponds, you will skirt wetlands, you will see a few Limousin cows ruminating...
A brochure, available free of charge in the Tourist Offices and at the Maison du Parc naturel régional Périgord-Limousin or for download (see link opposite), has been published to guide you. There you will find route maps, points of interest, services and accommodation options.
