At noon, make a picnic break on the banks of the Vienne and discover the Corot Site.
In the afternoon, go to Rochechouart where multiple points of interest await you: visit the Museum of Modern Art or the Espace Météorite Paul Pellas (geological walks available upon reservation) or even benefit from a guided tour of the city by theTourist Office. Also visit the Scenographic Space of the Park “Les Clefs du Périgord-Limousin, chabatz d’entrar dins la piera” at the tourist office in Rochechouart (free access)
At the end of the day, end your journey with a stop at the village of Les Salles-Lavauguyon to discover its church and its famous frescoes.
ON THE ROUTE TO AIXE-SUR-VIENNE AND THE GORRE VALLEY
In the morning, we suggest a walk in the Jeanne d'Albret garden in Aixe-sur-Vienne.
After the effort, comfort! Meet at the Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre farm inn to taste good local products*.
Then in the afternoon, return to the picturesque village of Saint-Auvent. Here several possibilities for digestive walks are available to you: tour of the Pouge pond and its ornithological observatory, walk on the Notre Dame de la Paix trail in the heart of the Gorre and Gorret gorges. And don't forget to stop at the Maison de País before leaving or in summer, to visit a contemporary art exhibition at the Château!
At the end of the day, continue your journey to Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre to visit the Jardin de Liliane or to Cognac-la-Forêt to discover the Hemp and Glove Museum or for a guided tour of the Shepherds’ huts…
