Renewal in sight

National news this month will be dominated by the municipal and community elections, which will determine the teams in charge for the next six or seven years. This will be followed by a renewal of the Park's decision-making bodies and its executive.

The Park, a project championed by local elected officials

The Park is administered by a joint association composed of several decision-making bodies.

While the implementation of actions is ensured by the Park's multidisciplinary team, the strategic directions are defined and championed by local elected officials. union committee constitutes the main decision-making body: it brings together representativesrepresentatives of municipalities, groups of municipalities and gateway cities of the territory, as well as departmental and regional elected officials.

Le union committee The union may delegate some of its powers to the union office, a smaller body responsible for managing day-to-day affairs and preparing resolutions submitted to the union committee. It is composed of 34 elected members from the union committee.

Finally, the executive Office The vice-presidents, members of this bureau, each chair a thematic committee and thus have a cross-cutting view of the actions and challenges of the territory.

Renewal of the governing bodies and operation of the joint association

Following the elections in March 2026, some of these decision-making bodies will be renewed to include the Park's new delegates. In the spring, In each municipality, the municipal councils will elect one or more "Park delegates". called upon to sit on the union committee, and where applicable, on the union office and the executive office. The same will apply in the six gateway cities as well as in the relevant inter-municipal communities.

Furthermore, the new union committee, whose installation is scheduled for June, will proceed with theelection of the Park's president as well as the first vice-presidency. Until then, the Park will continue its work and ensure the continuity of its missions with the current team. The budget vote will therefore take place as planned on March 4th, in the joint committee meeting.

The coming months will therefore be marked by a renewal of the governing bodies. To support the newly elected delegates in taking up their duties, an information and discussion day is being planned.
