Description
Julien and Océane are rabbit farmers: they raise meat rabbits of the "lapin chèvre" breed, a hardy breed native to the Limousin region. Their farm is certified organic (AB label). They produce as much of their own feed as possible on-site, and the rabbits have access to grass thanks to individual, mobile hutches that the couple designed and moved daily. They sell whole or cut-up rabbits, cut-up half-rabbits, saddles, legs, and thighs, all vacuum-packed; as well as prepared dishes, rabbit liver terrine with Cognac, and canned rabbit rillettes. They also sell breeding stock (males or females aged 60 to 100 days). Products available all year round, farm sales by appointment or in producers' shops: Brin de Campagne in Couzeix, Saveurs Nature in Saint-Pierre-de-Frugie, Saveurs fermières in Limoges, Aux P'tites Emplettes of the Tourist Office in Châlus.
