Slatworker's hut in Masselièvre

Description

The woodworker worked in the heart of the forests from October to June and sheltered in a hut covered with bark, which he built himself at the start of the season. The strapworker's cabin served as a workshop, a dining room but also a dormitory for the worker. There was a bench in the center used for cutting wood, tools hanging from the frame, a chair, and a hearth in the ground. The log cabin at the Masselièvre pond was restored two years ago, it is very pleasant for those who want to have a sheltered picnic while being at the water's edge.
