Description
Built in 1280 by Géraud de Maulmont, advisor to the Viscountess of Limoges, this castle bears witness to a rich medieval past despite the damage suffered over the centuries: dismantled during the Revolution, used as a prison, and partially collapsed in the XNUMXth century. Its remains, still visible, tell the story of a strategic location around which a town developed, with a new church and cemetery.
Guided tours are offered all year round (maximum 10 people by reservation), and a QR code allows you to learn more, especially outside of opening hours.
