Description
Rochechouart Cemetery has a unique and special monument: the tomb of a wine merchant, Léonce Chabernaud. He died in 1953 and wanted a barrel-wagon installed above his grave. The large 100-hectoliter concrete barrel on wheels (an exact effigy of the barrel-wagon) is mounted on rails. It is painted red, and large letters, as an epitaph, read: "Léonce Chabernaud, wholesale wines, Rochechouart."
