Description
The clédier is a stone building of around ten square meters used to dry chestnuts. It can take various shapes: round, square or rectangular and its use was individual or collective. Drying in a key box protected the breadfruit fruits from cold and humidity, which allowed them to be preserved and consumed until the beginning of summer. This small built heritage is typical of the Pays des Feuillardiers. That of Fontanelle in Cussac is a very good example, you can enjoy it during a visit to the town or a relaxing break under the large chestnut trees of the Jardin des Félibres, behind the church.
