Description
The Romanesque church of Saint-Hilaire is an 1936th and 1980th century building in the shape of a Latin cross. It is the only rural Romanesque church with a dome in the department. The barrel-vaulted choir is richly decorated with frescoes, the oldest dating from the end of the 1973th century. Deconsecrated in XNUMX then left abandoned until the XNUMXs, it was the subject of a major restoration thanks to patronage which earned it its inclusion in the inventory of Historic Monuments in XNUMX. Its eight bays were equipped with contemporary stained glass windows created by the local painter and enamel artist, Léa Sham's. In order to continue to finance the restoration work on this remarkable building, concerts and exhibitions are regularly organized by the Heritage and Cultures association which today brings this majestic place to life.
