Visit Vayres

Description

Vayres has been occupied since prehistory (Puybosse, Merlis), then during the Gallo-Roman period (Chalat) and the feudal period (motte de Merlis). The Saint Jean church was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century, it replaced the Saint George and Saint Pierre churches, at the crossroads of thoroughfares.
Located in the Périgord-Limousin Natural Park, follow the numerous hiking trails to discover the village of Vayres in an original way! At the bend of a sunken path, thanks to the numerous viewpoints, the fauna and flora will no longer have any secrets for you, as will the small heritage: clédier (la Treille), wash house in the village, and the numerous good fountains (Bonnefont, at Béjard)...
