In the heart of the medieval town of Saint-Yrieix, a stone's throw from the Collegiate Church and the Plô Tower, the Museum of Art and History invites you on a journey through the history and heritage of the Saint-Yrieix region. Across its 700 square meters, the Museum of Art and History offers thematic exhibitions—renewed every two years—that highlight the cultural and artistic riches of the town and its surrounding area through diverse collections (porcelain, goldsmithing treasures, paintings, archaeological objects, and contemporary works). Throughout the year, it offers a rich program of activities including tours, workshops, lectures, and numerous other events. It also houses a Micro-Folie, a digital museum where you can discover masterpieces of art history on large screens, tablets, and VR headsets. A must-see before exploring the region!
