Description
Located at the entrance to the heart of the city, near the historic site of the Jeanne d'Albret tower, the medieval-inspired garden offers 4 specific spaces over an area of 2800 m2, on the banks of Vienne:
the Herbularium (area of medicinal and aromatic plants)
Hortus (vegetable and aromatic plants area)
the Viridarium (fruit tree area)
the Jardin de Marie (pleasure garden)
This public green space is also an educational and educational garden accessible to all and open to schools. It is also a real tool for promoting sustainable development: preservation of biodiversity through the cultivation of varieties of old, rustic and resistant vegetables and fruit trees adapted to the region, conservation of old varieties, presentation of medicinal plants local to the public, use of cultivation techniques respectful of humans
