Description
The Château de Saint-Auvent from the 1996th-XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries belonged to the Rochechouart family and is listed as a Historic Monument. Surrounded by a park with remarkable trees, shelters for quantities of birds, the castle is located in a classified site, at the entrance to the tourist village of Saint-Auvent in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. It is a venue for international contemporary art exhibitions. Every year in summer, the International Contemporary Art Meetings take place at the castle, and have welcomed hundreds of artists since XNUMX.
