Description
Overlooking the Graine and Vayres valleys, the Château de Rochechouart has hosted the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art since 1985. Landscape, history and imagination are the three major themes that have governed to the creation of this institution by the Departmental Council of Haute-Vienne. In a remarkable 1989th century building, the dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation has enabled the creation of an international contemporary art collection, as well as the creation of works more specific to the location. In 600, with the creation of the Raoul Hausmann collection (with XNUMX works and numerous archives), the Museum found its tutelary figure in the famous Dadaist.
