La Chapelle-Montmoreau is nestled in a landscape dominated by forest, on a point overlooking the Boulou valley, an important biological reserve. Here, one can admire several heritage buildings, such as a 12th-century Romanesque church with a 17th-century altarpiece and a Gothic statue of the Virgin and Child. The village also boasts a former priory, now the Lamberterie manor.
Route stages
Step 1 - Leave the wash house towards the village of Ouis continue towards Saint Pancrace, 50m far take the path on the left then immediately another wider one on the right then follow the road on the right until the cemetery. There, take a path to the left and at the height of a hangar turn left. Go down into the woods until you cross the stream and 50m further turn left. after a right turn, arrive at a meadow and join the road. follow it to the right and at the bend take the path on the left; continue straight on until the road and reach the hamlet of El Filoine.
Step 2 - At a place called la filoine, take the path on the right and continue straight on until the crossroads. Turn right and at the next intersection turn left and follow the wide track which continues on a path; pass in front of the house then go down the path opposite and return to the starting point.
