Nice 9,5 km loop starting from St Front la Rivière. Stroll in the countryside, admire the views over the Dronne Valley and discover the historical heritage of the area, notably the Château du Saulnier and the Romanesque church of St Front; further on you will pass in front of the ruins of the Château de la Renaudie then in front of the Château du Pommier.
Route stages
Step 1 - Depart from the car park, cross the park and head towards the church and the town hall then turn left; At the stop sign direction Quinsac (D83) then turn left towards Chabreillac; At the crossroads continue straight then take the second path on the right. Turn left then after the farm take the path on your left which goes down to the road. Go to the place called Puychabrol and turn left; At the intersection, turn right then right again at the next one. Continue straight on until you reach a wide track. Continue straight towards Lusson.
Step 2 - In Lusson, take the path on your left which runs along a low wall and continue straight on to the next hamlet. Then turn right and join the road towards Sablon. At the cross, turn right to the end of the path then turn left and join the road to follow on the right; Arriving at a hangar, take the path on the left then the road on the right. After the Le Caneau sign, take a street on the right then the path opposite. Arriving at a house with a tower, go right, left then straight ahead and find the crossroads which takes you back to your starting point.
