200 kilometers through the landscapes of the Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park, in a country where the langue d'oc emerges at the same time as the granite, and recalls the beliefs, the legends which populate the chestnut forests...
This stage will take you from Champniers-Reilhac to Salles-Lavauguyon.
Route stages
Step 1 - At the tarmac turn left, follow the pond and at the give way turn right onto the tarmac road. Cross the bridge and on the way up take the street on the right after the sign announcing “give way”. Arrive at the main road, take it on the right, then exit for the first road on the left.
Follow the “Boucle des Templiers” signs.
At the STOP, continue straight towards the stadium. At the cross in the middle of the road, continue straight ahead.
33 Walk along the football field. Turn left and at the crossroads continue straight ahead. Take the grass path.
At the sign turn left between pond and bamboo. At the road, turn right then left.
Follow the direction “Boucle Aldine”. Walk alongside a pond and take the path on the right which overlooks the same pond, continue.
At the signs, turn right towards “Reilhac”. In the first hamlet of “Bost”, take the path which continues to the left. Stay on this same path until you reach the place called “le Cluzeau” (house on the right). Stay on the path on the left and continue. At the end of the path, turn right and join the road.
Once on the road, turn left and arrive at Reilhac. At the signs take the “Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire” connection.
34 -At the entrance to the village, take a small road on the left (Romanesque church straight ahead 100m).
Pass in front of the houses, staying on the right. Continue along meadows and woods until you reach a stream. You arrive in Haute Vienne. Go back up to find the road. Take it on the right, pass in front of the mill, go back over the stream. When the road splits into two, take the one on the right. Continue for 500 meters, then, in a sharp right turn, leave the road to take the path opposite. Stay on this path until the hamlet of “L’Age”. Leave a path on the left leading to a hangar and continue on a small road opposite.
35 - Pass the hamlet, turn left, walk 400m and turn off before the bend onto a white path on the right. Stay on the main path, enter the forest. After a little over 1 km on this path, arrive at a fork, take the path on the right. Leave two paths on the right and arrive at the main road. Turn left, arrive at the intersection with another departmental road, turn left and arrive in the town center of Maisonnais sur Tardoire.
Step 2 - Cross the town center of Maisonnais sur Tardoire straight on and take the first street on the right before the road splits in two. Continue on the path until you reach the main road. Take it on the right then cross and take the first path on the left. When the path branches off into a grove, continue on the left. Arrive at a small road, cross it and take the path opposite. Stay on this path for 1 km until you reach another small undergrowth road.
36 -Take it opposite and continue for a good kilometer before the intersection with a road. Take it on the left to cross the stream, then turn right towards Lavauguyon. Cross the hamlet, and turn right before going back down towards the main road. Pass between the houses, then take the small road on the left. Walk past the agricultural buildings, then turn onto the path on the right which passes in front of the buildings (leave the road on the left – Salles Lavauguyon junction 1,5km).
