From the village of La Rochebeaucourt located on the border of Dordogne and Charente, a path leads to the village of Argentina, home to a beautiful legend. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the Nizonne valley, the small village of Argentina, in addition to its small half-Romanesque, half-Gothic church, formerly located on a route used by pilgrims to Saint Jacques, presents a troglodytic ensemble locally called "cluzeaux". which were developed at several times. For hikers, a 4,5 km trail allows you to discover the limestone plateau and its rich flora and heritage.
Route stages
Step 1 - From the bus stop in the direction of Périgueux Angoulême on the main road, cross and take "rue du Château" opposite. Pass in front of the church and continue on the small “rue des Orchidées” opposite.
Step 2 - On the town hall square, head opposite to the left to take “rue des Alouettes”. Arrive on the main road, turn left and continue straight (leave the C3 on the left). Before leaving the village, take “Font Babou” street which goes up on the left. Pass in front of the cemetery and the mention of the demarcation line. Continue until the stop sign, turn right. At the new stop sign, take the RD on the left (be careful), then take the first road on the left direction. Argentina, then immediately on the path to the right. Go back up to an intersection with a new path. Turn right to reach the village.
