Description
The Hauts de Tardoire Green Route awaits you for a 13 km gentle stroll (26 km round trip) on a former railway line, between Châlus and Oradour-sur-Vayres. Accessible to all, this safe, car-free route is ideal for walking, cycling, rollerblading, or riding in a wheelchair, in complete peace and quiet. Along the way, enjoy nature, discover the local heritage through audio-guided tours, and take a picnic break in the designated areas. Activities are also offered throughout the year. In Châlus, the old train station has been transformed into a rental area for all types of equipment: mountain bikes, electric bikes, tandems, tricycles, and horse-drawn carriages. This service is open from April to November. In summer, you can also rent equipment in Oradour-sur-Vayres. Advance reservations are required online. The Green Route is freely accessible all year round!
