The Landscape, the result of the dynamics of evolution of the territory
The landscapes of Périgord-Limousin are, like all landscapes, the results of natural phenomena and the sum of human activities. If past phenomena have led to current landscapes, the latter continue to evolve according to changes in uses.
Every activity has its impact on its landscape environment. As the park is an area where agricultural and forestry activities dominate the space, their impacts are not negligible. Choice of forest species, type of crops or livestock, extensive or intensive agricultural practices, size of the plot, location of farm buildings, etc. are all parameters that can transform the landscape.
However, even if they occupy a smaller portion of the territory, housing, other economic activities and infrastructure (transport, energy, networks, health, etc.) also have a significant impact; especially since their evolution can be very rapid.
All of these activities are linked to life in the region, so they should not be banned, but should be reconciled with the preservation of the landscape quality of Périgord-Limousin.
